Just registered at C-Coupe website. Looked at pictures and was once again in love with that color. Thinking about getting the C7 package now too Magma red is a good looking car also.

I'd trade my orion car for a bordeux car in a minute. As long as it had the oyster interior though.

If you get the oyster interior is the steering wheel still black?

Do not think about getting the C7 package, it's a must, get a lot for the money, most popular option on the Coupe.

Before you get the C7 option, I'd suggest you drive a car with 17" wheels. I was surprised just how much they effect how the car drives: it pulls either direction depending on the crown in the road, follows ruts in the road more than any car I've owned, and at one particular intersection I cross frequently, will go any random direction under braking (because the pavement is so messed up).

Yeah, the C7 wheels look nice, but in my opinion they screw up how the car drives. I'll probably get flamed by people telling me how much better the car "handles" with C7 wheels. Whatever. I don't use my car as a racer. If the roads in your area are in generally good condition, this isn't much of a factor, but in Michigan the roads suck.

I'm not saying that you shouldn't get the C7 option, just to be aware of the compromises. Even with the drawbacks, I'd probably get the C7 option again. After all, it doesn't bother me enough to get me to buy new wheels.

Someone posted something about this before. Do a search for "oyster steering wheel" and the user "dmichael" - there's a thread that he started where he talks about it.

But to directly answer your question, the steering wheel should be oyster, but you never know what curveball could be thrown by MB.

Unhappy did the search

Did the search and it sounds like with the C7 you get the oyster steering wheel and shift boot. Hope the dash matches too. There was a picture of one car with the interior in oyster but the dash and wheel were grey...don't like that at all with the rest being oyster.

I have a 2002 C230K with oyster interior and orion blue exterior. The steering wheel, shift boot and the top of the dash are a darker gray than the oyster cloth. My wife and I like this combination very much-makes the interior "seem" bigger-not as confining as black.

Exactly. IMO- The oyster interior makes a HUGE difference. The first test car had a black interior and I was very dissapointed. The oyster car was like completely different car. It's not hard to keep clean like people say. How dirty are your hands anyway?

The C7 is a must for all the stuff you get with it. There is one downside and that is the tires suck in the snow. I have not had problems with mine in the light snow we have had in south central PA, but I am buying a set of 16's for winter use. So if you are worried and this is the only car you have to drive on snowy days, set aside around $800-900 for a nice set of alloy 16's and some tires. Tirerack.com has some great deals. I luckily found a member selling his 16 inch wheels as he did not get the C7 package and does not need them.
