C230 Coupe in Bordeaux Red
I'm thinking of buying a 2003 C230 Coupe in Bordeaux Red. Has anyone actually seen this color on the car? None of the dealer around me have any available right now and I'm wondering how it really looks?

Thank you for the response. I am kind of nervous about it since I can't see it on the car and it's my first Mercedes. I feel like a kid in a candy store every time I look at the picture of it. I don't really know how to use this website. I don't know how or where to post messages. Never done anything like this before. I tried to post my message under the C class area yesterday but couldn't figure out how to do it. Can you help?

You can go to Mercedes' website at www.mbusa.com and see exactly what the color will look like on the coupe.

The Bourdeaux is a beautiful color. That was my second choice. A few weeks back, someone posted his Bourdeaux with those 18" Renntech Monolite rims and H&R cup kit. Make sure you get the color matching door handles too.

Paprika looks really weird in certain lighting; I prefer bordeaux.
Chrissy, you can get the handles seperately, but you should still consider the C7 package, as it's a really good deal. Someone posted the prices on the handles only a while ago - search the forum to find. Happy shopping!

I considered Paprika when I ordered my blue car, but it was a special order at that time, or so said my sales rep. When I finally saw one, I was very disappointed. It looks nothing like the pics in the brochure or mb web site.

I had seen paprika at the NY Auto show, and thought it was cool because of the multi hues...
I ordered my car in April 01, and was also told that Paprika was 'special order/designo'...as was citron. Anyway, I wanted blue, but the dealer had no idea what shade Orion was and couldn't show me pictures.
When I went to order my coupe, there was a bordeaux C320 sport in the showroom....gorgeous color, but the sales monkey told me it only came with the light interior....thats just not me, so I went for the blue/charcoal....sight unseen.
Chrissy, this forum was where I finally saw a pic of Orion and I was glad I decided on it. Thanks to those that contributed! There's a lot of great info here, and after some of the the rabble was dispersed, this has become a great website. Thanks to the moderators for that.

I went with Bordeaux on my C230k and haven't regretted it for a minute... I think it fits the car very well, though as one friend mentioned "shouldn't a Bordeaux car come with a cork colored interior?"

He must have really wanted you to get the blue for some reason, since he lied about the special order. I know it isn't special order now, and I don't think it was then. It would be stupid for MB to want a special order charge for a color made just for that car. Of course, they do it with Citron. Considering my dealer had at least 10 Paprika cars in '02, I don't think it was special order. My sales manager wouldn't order it for stock if it was. He doesn't even order Black Opal and that is a great color.
