Aftermarket HU install power problem...?
Alright, I'm trying to install an F90BT in my 2005 C230. I have the Scosche VW03B adapter and have tried swapping the red and yellow and tried leaving them the same.
The only way I can get the unit to turn on is if I wire both the red and yellow leads together, then it will turn on, but remains on even when the car is turned off.
Anyone have a solution to this problem? What am I doing wrong?

I got it all sorted out. Thanks for the input.
It is the black/yellow wire in the lighter for ignition power, also the middle (orange i believe) wire works perfect for the ilum.
Now to figure out the ****ty radio reception...

Look at the Diagram, you have to power the amplified antennea; it's not powered through the Coax....

I need to power it using the power lead attached to the adapter i bought right? I have tried that, with both the antenna and remote turn-on leads from the deck with no success...any advise? Or do i need to power a different lead? One in the factory harness perhaps?

The one you need to power is in the factory harness, not in the antenna adapter. It's labeled antenna in the Diagram. Stecker 2 Position 13, it's Black in color if memory serves.
