2005 C230 - Transmission Problem
Hello -
Question: My 2005 C230 will sometimes just loose the transmission, I'll rev it while driving and nothing!
I have to pull over shutoff the car, restart it and then its fine and I can continue on.
This happen every so often.
What is the root cause here?

your trans probably went into limp-home mode.(it resets itself everytime you cycle the key)
check the adapter plug in front of the tranny....see if it's soaked with oil or not....if it does, it could be the problem.

Have you checked the trans fluid level? Is it like being put in neutral? If you tap the shift lever right or left nothing happens? So you coast to a stop, restart, and it's ok for how long?
