I am thinking of ordering from dr.colorchip to fix the 'pimples' in the hood and front bumper. just want to make sure i order the correct paint code. question is: where can i locate the color code for the car (06 c230 SS). it's black but there are different kinds of black:

768 - Diamond Black Metallic
197 - Obsidian Black Metallic
040 - Black
033 - Designo Mocha Black Metallic
025 - Designo Brilliant Black Metallic

I am thinking mine is 768, but want to make sure. Thanks.

 

On mine, it’s imprinted on the option code decal below the passenger side B pillar jamb - near the front door’s striker.

e.g., “LACK : 744”

 

Mine was on the drivers side door.





I also saw this by the drivers side door. It seems like it was put there. Anyone know what it is? What's the purpose of it?
