1 degree of separation

Will a 1 degree out of spec Right rear camber a concern?

Currently it's -2.5 ( 03 c240 sedan.)

I PM'd speedybenz for a camber arm but before I commit;Is there a cheap fix for just 1 degree off? $$$ is kinda tight.

Just had my front lower bushes, stabilizer link,& Front adj. cam bolt installed.
Still need to do my brakes/rotors & I may replace the upper front bushes too.

..and I need new tires too.

Just have no clue how much discrepancy you can live with or is it an issue that needs to be addressed stat.

Can you or anybody PLEASE make a comment on my measurements?
Sorry but it's all greek to me.

LEFT FRONT ________________ RIGHT FRONT
Camber:-0.7 _________________Camber: -0.6
Caster:10.2 __________________Caster:10.4
Toe:0.07 ____________________Toe:0.05
TOTAL TOE:0.12
STEER AHEAD:0.01

LEFT REAR _________________RIGHT REAR
Camber:-0.7 _________________Camber: -2.5**
Toe:0.39 ____________________Toe:0.05
TOTAL TOE:0.49
THRUST ANGLE: 0.15


I notice the toe differs substantially.

Hi squire, If you look at the alignment on my car that I posted on the attached thread you will see the Merc minimum & maximum values and my actuals. There is not much to comment on. You are outside the specs which will wear tyres unevenly & effect handling & behavior.

How are your #s so different?
My #s are from my alignment 2 days ago after front low bushing & adj cam bolt were installed.
Could they be looking at a different spec sheet or they simply don't know what they're doing.

Also read somewhere that it's a must for w203 to have greater caster on the right than left.

Is your car lowered as well?

Sorry - I did not realise you were lowered. Lowered messes everything up & all you can do is compromise . Most people end up with camber of -2.1 both sides on rear after lowering. You need to get both sides the same on the back & the toe the same.

Your front is fine apart from the Castor. If you run 10.4 Right then then you must run 9.4 left to stop the car pulling right with the camber of the road - see Benz bulletin posted by splinter on the other thread.

If you need more advice on alignment with lowered set ups contact Tru Taing.

Check to make sure that your spring pads are the same thickness on the back.

It should be.
I specifically told the installer to leave the pads when the cup-kit was installed.
