Any One Use a Scangauge on their c320 or 32?
I just purchased a scangaugeII for my C32. Looks really nice. Tested it out on my buddy's camaro and it works great. tried plugging it in on my car and it won't connect. it says connecting for a long long time but never connects. any suggestions?
UPDATE: just checked the website and it said there are compatibility issues with 2002 300 series MB. im guessing that the c32 falls in that category, right?![smash](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smashfreak.gif)

OBDII Commands
OBDII Commands have a structure which depends on the protocol (MODE in the ScanGauge II). You will have to know the MODE your vehicle is using. When the ScanGauge has connected to the vehicle computer, CAN capable ScanGauges (Version 2.xx) will tell you the MODE by using MORE>MORE>MODE. The MODE will be shown on the top line. Non-CAN ScanGauges will show the MODE by using MORE>MODE>READ.
So from what they are saying they do have the CAN version or you have to set it up with CAN??
Good Luck

Out Of Control!!
As I said on the C32 forum, I plugged mine in, and it worked immediately.
I'm not sure why people with no direct experience are saying what will work, though.

yah i saw that, but on the scangauge website, it says there are compatibility with 300 series MBs. your 230 i dont think is a 300 series, which i am guessing is 3.2L or 3.5L

Your right man.
2002
WORKS ON ALL EXCEPT: Jeep Liberty with the diesel engine does not report fuel use or trip functions and some of the gauges.
Mercedes 300 series and E500 are not compatible.

So since Tommy has a C230 which is not considered a Mercedes 300 series that is why it works for him. It's pretty confusing why it would do that.
Can you return it?
