Stiff gas pedal, normal?
Thanks all, great board!

There is 1 pin that rotates and is a friction point, but I do not believe it is ever lubricated. If you take a look at the pedal and realize how it works, you should be able to feel if that pin is somehow getting jammed up (I really doubt it). Otherwise buying a new genuine MB pedal cover would include a new plastic "spring". Maybe the one that came with your car was manufactured out of spec?
I know my foot does not get tired, so it sounds like something is wrong.

Apparently whoever owned my car last drove it like an old lady (25k miles in 4 years) and it had "learned" this behavior. I did a throttle reset (STFF for instructions) and the car learned my behavior and viola, problem solved. You can probably do the same.

Okay I meant search for throttle reset but it's okay because you at least tried. Here are the instructions:
Put the key in the ignition and turn it to ON (but don't start the engine).
Press the gas pedal to the floor and hold it for 5 seconds.
Turn the key to the off position while still holding the pedal.
Release pedal.
Wait 2 minutes (some say this is not necessary)

See if this helps and let us know.

On long trips thats what I do, and the computer knows how to get better mileage that I can.
AND I don't accidently drive too fast and get a ticket.
I have at time, just been tooling a long when woa...I'm doing like 90-100 and don't even know it...
the car wants to run at 120 all day long.
