CD Changer Jammed
Been on the forum for a while but never posted until now. I did a search but nothing relatively helpful came up. The CD changer on my '07 is jammed. I was in the middle of switching CDs and one of the trays got stuck open and now will not retract back and the case will now not come out. My question is, is this something anyone has dealt with before? I have an extended warranty but have never dealt with the before and since its an audio component, I'm not sure if theyll try to screw me out paying for it. Should I call the dealership first and see if they'll find a loophole to make sure the warranty will cover it? (I'm almost sure they wont) Thanks for your help everyone

The people that went through it reported that it was pretty easy to fix.
Before you get a new one just take it out and take it apart and see whats wrong with it.

Mine is stuck...based on this error on COMAND "gun5" I assume that is the tray...
I see a stuck tray, piece to the right of the magazine, pushed pulled poked...nothing. Eject button illuminates, motor tries to drive tray every few tries. Tried shutting off COMAND while button was flashing...nothing. Tried sliding a thin piece of styrene under and over magazine...nothing.
Took out the unit...easy...but opening the unit after removing all the hardware proved harder...without a spare I did not want to go prying 11 year old plastic tabs...
Anyone find a good way to eject this stuck disc magazine?

Hi I had a stuck CD cassette of 6 CD stuck in the changer of a 2005 SL500. I tried to push the button on the changer, green light came on but no joy. Changer is behind the driver's seat. I finally started to hit the side of the container behind the driver's seat, as well as the top at times pushing the button. Finally some clicks and clucks, green light on, and the cassette came out. After many tries of different CDs, etc. I still had occasions of stuck CD. I then decided to take more aggressive measure, and used some WD-40 with long tube, and sprayed inside the changer bottom, with cassette removed, as well as the cassette (with cds removed). In the last 2 days the changer has worked well with all CD - purchased and burned. I can select any CD from the main unit, and it will play it, as well as change CD after the last music was played.
