"New" LED tails?

Ebay has a listing for red/clear LED C-class tails made by DEPO, claiming highest quality but recommending professional installation. Unfortunately none of the pics show the tails illuminated, thus I cannot judge which lights are LED or how bright/dim they are. Does anyone have a set and feel willing to render an opinion (or better: pics)?

I searched but could find no threads on DEPO tails; the threads on DEPO headlights are not flattering about their quality control.

I don't have personal experience with them but I have read about them. IIRC, not much of what I read was positive.

It's just the headlights that have bad reviews. The taillights are a LOT better, and there are two companies making LED's for the 203. Eagle Eye makes the S-Class style LED tails, and Depo makes the C-Class LED tails. I have the Depo tails, along with Temjinx2, and the Depo tails are definitely high quality. They are bright, the LED's have not burnt out, and are cheaper than a set of 05+ halogen tails. I have pictures, but they are in a thread somewhere. Let me see if I can search it up.

Damn, I've been trying to find the thread for the last 20 minutes, lol, to no avail. I'll upload a new batch of pics in a few minutes.

These are probably your best bets for LED taillights. I have had mine for a while now, and each and every LED is still fine. Plus, there's no need to worry about compatibility years; the taillights use your OEM circuit board. That's why mine only lights up half of the bottom row as mine is an 01'.

Damn those look bright

It's like that slk's headlights I see. The entire row is super bright under braking when you're right behind them; almost blinding.

I don't really know how bright mine are... I should invest in these. It should make me more noticeable, so people won't rear end me

So the taillights like those above will work on 05 and up cars? I could've sworn I was reading about issues with the harness on 2005+ cars.

nothing's a problem when you know how to DIY.

plus they already have one with 7-pin for the 05+.

If you didn't catch my post, I said that the tails use your OEM circuit boards.. It doesn't matter, as you just take your stock boards, and put it into the new headlight. No need for splicing etc.

I did catch your post, I just wasn't familiar with the circuit boards. I knew about the 7-pin harness on the 05+. Thanks though.

Yeah, that's why these headlights are better compared to the Eagle Eyes in my opinion. No need for matching the correct years, plus it retains the stock circuit board. A definite must buy in my book

Thanx a wad for all the good info Mu9enx, and thanx for the pics. How much DIY is necessary to mount these? You make it sound like it's more than a simple plug-n-play; what skills are needed?

No, it's just simple plug and play. Instead of a bulb for the brake light, you just plug in the taillight's included plug. Then just put it back and go.
