K1 Speed Karting Challenge in SoCal
Hey So Cal peeps.
Just raced at the K1 go cart track this w/e. The experience was a lot of fun. For those that have run the Torrance track, my best time was a 32.61.
I just got a buy one get one free offer for racing. Perhaps a W203 challenge can be had?

My brother was in town for the W/E. We loved it. He got a 32.31, but I outweigh him by 60 lbs, so I felt like I could have beat him but not for the weight.
Splinter, Frank, MJ, others....knock - knock!

i need to move to cali.... 
sister and her fiance are most probably moving to san jose OR sacramento... and he has a lotus elise and porsche cayman S. maybe i'll check it out if they end up living close to the track.

Ed or anyone else: has anyone been to MB2 in Sylmar or Thousand Oaks? How does the the track & cars compare to K1? I've been to both & had a blast. I think they've re-done the track at the TO location.

I haven't been to either of those.
If someone is an enthusiast, I think they will enjoy the experience.
I'm curious where are the speedy gonzalezs are at? KrisV, you want to come up for this?

woah, there's a banner ad for K1 as I type this message, 3 races for $50.00.
but, there's also a special of buy 2 races get 1 free (so $40 total) Monday - Thursday. (I hear that you're pretty pooped after one race and that you can use the tickets to the races whenever you want, so we can go back a few more times.)
I also know that one of my favorite food trucks Lomo Arigato (it's a Peruvian/Japanese fusion that's pretty damn good) is making the K1 Speed in Torrance home on Thursday nights. (http://www.facebook.com/lomoarigato#!/lomoarigato)
So, we should go to the Torrance one on a Thursday night and grab dinner at Lomo.
Maybe Thursday July 8 would be good. What do you guys think?

Ed, I'm sorry, but don't realize you already own a go kart?
Perhaps you haven't set it up correctly, ie lowered etc.
