Auction Ended - Lower Bid Than Previous Time
The auction ended and this time the vehicle bid up to only $21,100.00, far less than the previous time when it bid up to $23K.
These people at that dealer are greedy pigs; I hope they get "slaughtered" on this one.

Nobody wanted them last year when they were being made, now they must be down to a just a few and they're in no rush to dump it, somebody will walk in and have to have it and pay whatever it takes to get it. Besides, if nobody buys it, they put it on their loaner fleet to get an MB incentive. Seriously, look at the Audi A4 or Jag X-type wagons, nicer and free maintenance.

2004 - C240 Wagon - Approaching 50K miles
It has been nearly 50,000 miles since we drove off of the lot December, 2004 in our brilliant silver 2004 C240 wagon.
Last year when were just outside of factory warranty we bought an extended warranty through Mercury and also bought a contract from the dealer for 2 prepaid A and 2 B services. We have already had 2 things done under the extended warranty, which would have run over $500.00 if paid for out of pocket.
Despite having had 2 evaporators replaced, I can't say it has been anything other than a good vehicle, very solid. It is also in excellent condition and looks like new.
What has impressed me the most is that, unlike the domestic cars, whenever somerthing is wrong with this vehicle, the dealer has always been able to immediately disgnose the problem and fix it on one try. My experience with domestics has been taking cars in repeatedly with the same complaint/concern and being given the car back "no problem found" or "could not duplicate concern." This can cause one to question his own sanity. Fortunately I have owned 2 Buicks in recent years that have had no problems that needed any extended repair. But the Merdeces is a joy to take in for service, really.

I am definitely paying for service, one way or another. It's a joy because whatever is wrong always gets identified and fixed.

It's a shame we all get so joyful when dealerships do their jobs and fix our issues. I've heard "Cannot duplicate" or "normal characteristic" so many times (with other car makes, never MB) that I hate all dealerships immediately whether they've done anything wrong or not.

1999 CLK320 (sold), 2007 C230 SS (gone), 2000 Grand Marquis, 2011 CR-Z, stay tuned...
I'm glad to hear you have one of the normal MB dealerships. As a whole, MB is very good about service, which is just another reason to love the brand!
