By any chance, did you paint your calipers? I'm up for the install this monday myself and I'm deliberating what color to paint them. Did you get the rear rotors too?

Brabus,

Did the evosport kit come with new brake lines at all? And when they installed, did they change the brake fluid for you?

Im not sure I would paint the caliper on these, AMG is on them originally.

Which wheels do you have? Can you try the C7 wheels on there if you don't have those? I'd like to put that debate to rest!

PICs PICs please!!

Verb: I think Evosport sells them for $1000 installed. Contact Ben @ www.evosport.com he can help you better.

DL_Amg: I did not replace the rear. The C32 rears look very similar to mine. The Brembo emblem is inside the calipers so you cant readily see it. On the outside in plain view it says AMG.

Antonio: I had mine custom done and I chopped up 2 AMG exhausts to do it. Hehe. I did not cut the spare tire well and a muffler doesnt fit there.

enri007: I was going to paint it but it looks pretty good in Silver with black AMG letters. You can see it well. Its painted Silver by the way with clearcoat so it looks good. I might get crossdrilled blanks for the rear but Im not sure. THe C32 does not have crossdrilled in the rear. I was comparing my rear brakes to Vadims C32 and its about the same. Maybe thats because I have the sports package and my rears are bigger.

Firstkill: No brake lines. But all parts were from Mercedes. I saw the boxes and yes they did bleed my brakes. Then took me for a testdrive. They stop good! Gave me a headache. Haha.

Peet: I have Brabus Monoblock V 18" (real) and they look really good with the brakes in there. I have about 1-2 cm clearance. The only thing you need to worry about is if your wheels will clear the brakes. I figured since I have Brabus wheels it should be ok and I was right. If your wheels dont fit you need to get some spacers.

I will post pics up soon. Its just pouring out here so I cant. Well that and my car is at the shop getting some other goodies. Hehe. My wheels will be up for sale next month if anyone is interested. It comes with almost brand new BF Goodrich G-force KDW2. These are one of the best tires I have ever had. I would prefer socal owners so you can see the wheels in person.

I cut them up. I used a pipe of the right side connected to the tips.

are these the exact same ones they use on C32's? I mite have access to used C32 brakes, so with your comments i'm seriously considering them.

Yes they are. They are the exact same ones. But I do recommend a professional shop like Evosport to install it. It is not an easy task. They had a hard time taking my old rotors off. And I would leave it to a shop that has already done the swap or else things might not go as smooth. If I were you I would get the used ones but replace the pads to new pads. You will love it. Just have it installed at a knowlegable shop. I believe you can have Evosport just install them for you. Its worth it to have the safe piece of mind then getting it done at a mickey mouse shop.

Personally, if you don't know how to do it yourself, I would leave it to the folks at the local MB dealer if they'll do it and I don't see why not, it's an MB part.

Yes that is correct. I think you should buy new brake pads. Dont reuse the old brake pads.

C32 Brake upgrade update

Well, as you well know I had the C32 Brakes done at Evosport. Here is an update on how they feel. I did some heavy driving with some hard braking. I braked from 140mph to 80mph and it stops so much faster. Also, I feel the burden of the excessive weight from my system but it still stops much faster. I can feel it start to clamp down and then it just stops. Very impressive.

So far with about 500 miles the brake dust isnt as bad as my stock C240 brakes.

Here is a pic.

The True OG Modded out W203
I just had them done last night, but since it has been raining I haven't had the time to check them out that well. I also had the rear rotors put on and the back caliper painted. They do fill the space behind the rim real well though! AMG logo is nice too.

Glad to see you guys all followed my lead on the C32 brakes (yuk, yuk). Isn't Thursday night the standard informal GTG, starting at, ahem, 8 PM since some of us get up early to work for a living.....

We "break in" the brakes properly as a service to all of our customers with brake installs at our shop. <--This is very important in choosing who installs your brakes!

Steves,

No, it's not as good as a full Brembo setup, but it still is a substantial difference to the stock brakes. For the money, it's a great upgrade. Much more people can justify spending less than a grand on brakes than over 3 grand. Personally, I agree with you, but most people just don't understand how good a Brembo Gran Turismo kit is. Nevertheless, we haven't had a single customer who has upgraded to the C32 brakes be disappointed yet!
