IC change to '05 model
I also knew that it wasn't possible, but now found this on the web:

There was a thread about this somewhere. I can't remember where though. But this is def. possible just not easy. If i remember correctly...i think it was MBenzNL or something like that..that can do it.

Yes it is.
I remember Steve and Sunil doing it, but they rip the interior apart and change all.
In this case the guy only changed the IC, and also I can't figure out how he put the IC in, since the frame its not the same.
He first installed it and had some problems...
I'm also waiting for more pics and explanations from the guy
