If it's free then go for it. Plus then you can see how it will really look
Whatever you do dont get Tein Basics people/members have a lot of complaints about them.
If you don't want to spend a lot you can go with springs.
Cheap Route
H&R Springs = 230.00 US
OK
H&R Street Performance coilovers = 1,000.00 US
Good
Tein SS coilovers (Not Tein Basics but Tein SS) = 1,600.00 US
Better
KW Variant 2 coilovers = 1,500.00 US
Best
Carlsson Bilstein Coilovers = 3,500.00 US
Prices are rough estimates. You may find it cheaper or more expensive.
How much are you looking to spend?

I was under the impression when he said "AMG kit" he meant the same AMG kit as I have on my C230 and all C230s between 05 and 07. None of those are fast cars or legit AMG cars, either. Don't put the badge on it, though.

I know I might get bashed for this but I would go with the first one. The second one doesn't look that appealing. It looks plain.
I think once he gets the AMG body kit and debadges the car the AMG flat hood and trunk badge will look great. Just go with what you like. Forget what people are going to think. The amg Kit looks sporty and a regular mercedes flat badge will look too plain. Go with the AMG. There is big difference between an AMG flat badge or an AMG emblem.
Also if you get rid of the chrome on the grill (paint, vinyl whatever you do) it will look more sportier and the AMG will deffinetly look nice.
Most people here put AMG wheels on their car. Your car is not AMG so you shouldnt put AMG wheels??
Go with what you want bro.

Wheels are not the same thing as badging a car as something it isn't. But I was talking more along the line of a trunk thing. Like I would if I saw a car that said "C180 KOMPRESSOR AMG" on the trunk.

As for your comment "Wheels are not the same thing as badging a car as something it isn't." Go tell that to Mercedes who puts AMG wheels and then puts an AMG emblem FACTORY and sells it. An example is an S550 I saw at the dealer all it had was AMG rims and maybe a little body difference and it had an AMG badge.
To each their own, if you like it do it. You love the unmodified look of the Sport editions and some people don't. Some people like the upright MB Star on the hood but I don't. If we all had the same taste on car there wouldn't be different types of mods out there.

You like this.
But some of us like this

Frank's C32? I agree that you should do to your car whatever makes you happy. I was asking for clarification on what a plain Mercedes was. I can see that some W203s look quite plain - like the 2001 C240 sedan.
