i was thinking just the other day it would be nice if it chirped or beeped or something. sometimes as im walking away and locking the car i look back just to see if the lights are flashing. if it beeped or something i would know. is it something the dealer has to set?

yes and its fairly loud...the 3 beeps when locking could get annoying but its nice to know when walking away in a hurry. Its the Netherlands setup (details can be found when searched or read the FAQs on csportcoupe forum).

Bob, sounds like your speaker might be dying. I've had mine for over a year now with no change to the volume level.

I'm not so lazy that I can't turn my head around and see the lights flashing. That's all I need... No flames intended. I just don't buy the need for the chirp. I expect that from a CMC-installed aftermarket alarm system.
Alright, I'll come clean. I'm just trying to ruffle Bagwell's and tommy's feathers... hehehe

I'd assume so, if that's the problem. Anyone know if that speaker (or whatever it is) shares time with anything else, like reminder tones or anything?
Buell said that you can replace it with the speaker from the A10-equipped cars, and it sounds much better.
Bob - it's year-end at the big G. I think that my feathers are beyond ruffled right now, but thanks for trying.
