yeah i know what you mean. my 2000 beetle had 4 or 5. and were also speed sensitive. i like the auto sensing feature. it doesnt bug me, to the point where i wanna rant and rave, but its just something i notice. like i said, doesnt rain often enough for me to care. and about the time ill be fed up with i wont have to use them for a while. it may rain maybe like 20 or so days a year here, so whatever. and half the time its not even rain just mist, spray, something wet!!!

But yesterday when is was pouring in SD, they kept or it felt like they were on too tight because they still kept screeching even though the entire winsheild was drnechd! Kind of annoying. I just went outside when i stopped to get gas and just kind of adjusted then again and they were fine. Just tell the dealer that you were having some problems or something.
SD Mercedes replaced my at B service...

RainX is great. The faster you drive, the better it works. I never run my wipers on high. On the highway, I can usually turn them off. City driving usually requires intermitent.

Citron,
Mercedes Benz of San Diego is really great, they were very polite, they did the service B on the on my vehicle, they went out of their way to take care of me, and they went beyond the scope of the repairs finding other problems that were addressed and corrected. I could not believe the dealership wanting to please me it was unrepresented. The dealership is quite state of the art, sterile and futuristic.
The staff loved my Audio 10 CD, and they kept asking if the vehicle was a Euro Benz due to the Euro plate on the vehicle. My service rep was Collette so if you need service see her, she is great to work with.
I would rate that dealership a ten plus. This is what owing a Benz is all about! I have very little problems with this Benz and my wife loves it.

Thanks for asking

David

Thumbs down

Mine were making noise and leaving marks. At A service, dealer said wait till B service and they are included. I wanted them now, paid dealer $20.

Your dealer screwed you, you should have gotten them to change the wipers for free, it is a safety issue and it is new. Next time yell real loud or locate a better dealership. Any automotive dealer who sell you a car with windshield wipers that do not work should replace them. Keeping in mind, if the milege was low and the car was like new.

No, I have 35,000 miles on my car. Did A service at 12,000, B service at 24,000, this time it was A service.

Now I am confused, I thought A service was when the wipers were bad at 12,000 miles in which it would be covered (Like mine were)!

I just got my car back from my first A Service. Dropped off the car this morning and mentioned that my sunroof is noisy when closed.
Picked up the car at 3 and they replaced my wiper blades without me telling them to and they lubed and then replaced a "sunroof bellows" and now my car is as quiet as a S-class... :p (OK OK, maybe nearly as quiet). Very friendly, very fast and very thorough - they took my car for a 22 mile test drive (which I don't mind at all, when I lived in Germany all my car dealers take the car out for a test drive...)

yup, RainX is incredible. you honestly won't need wipers in light to medium rain. i put the rainx brand washer fluid in my car. it has the rainx formula in with the washer formula. cleans and beads up the water.
One thing to watch out for in case you haven't used the washer fluid much yet...

I used the RainX washer fluid in my last car all the time and, after some time, I noticed a wax build up on the hood under the spray pattern of the nozzles. It looked rather ugly so I have decided not to use the washer fluid in my coupe but apply the RainX manually instead.

I second that. My wife's hood is covered with the stuff and it doesn't work anything like the manually applied RainX.

Insert type?

OK--24" for the driver side and 22" for the passenger. When I looked at the inserts there was the option for "trapezoidal" or "box." Anyone know what the C230 uses? Thanks.
