Pirelli Nero Warning
I know this should probably be in the tire thread but I want everyone to see this then maybe a mod can move it there.
This is from my experience and my warning to you fellow members.
Pirelli Neros are horrible.
It all started yesterday I was making a left turn on a 3 lane street. I always make the turn around 40 very easily. I took the turn and my car lost control and regained it back (matter of 2 seconds) and jerked me to the side.
Today going to work I wanted to test my traction again. I did a halfway throttle and didn't grip too well. I probably have anywhere from 3K to 4K on them.
When I look at the thread there is enough on them but performance sucks big time. If you guys are in the market for tires STAY AWAY FROM PIRELLI NEROS.
First it griped great but now almost like the continentals.
I regret not going with the Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 (more superior than the Neros)![smash](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smashfreak.gif)

white and whiter
Neros is like the middle child from Pirelli that is cheap enough to have decent performance, but not great performance. Rosso is slightly better.
but the actual PZero is worlds better than either Nero and Rosso. have'em on the 204. thought i needed to replace the front that's curbed and bought a new front for $300 and only to find out the curbed tire still has plenty of thickness on the sidewall. so i have one PZero sitting around. thinking about selling it for $150 see if anyone wants.

03 g35 coupe...........02 c32 Sold
agreed, pirelli's suck. i had a set on my integra a long time ago and i had radial drag straight from the factory. the tires would keep pulling to the left no matter what i did. it was my first and last set.

I had the P-Zero Nero's on my coupe and took them back after a week or so. They tramline bad on the grooved concrete roads in So Cal. I've got Riken Raptor on my C230 and my daughters SLK230 and they work great. They are cheap ($400/set), reasonably quiet, handle well, last a decent amount of time and have the rim protector bead (a must for me).
