cause problems dude im just looking for answers now please skoot or sumthing get outa here please go bother sum one else
this thread is going nowhere... FIRST... SEE WHAT YOU WRITING... need to read twice to understand... SECOND... THERE IS NO SUCH THINGS AS A V4, ITS AN INLINE 4... THIRD... YOU ARE THE ONE ASKING THE QUESTION... somebody giving you input is already good enough coz in reality this thread really going nowhere... so just keep your mouth shut
damn... to summarize this... YOU GOT YOURSELF A WRONG CAR TO START WITH...Secondly
This guy though that has started this thread, yeah you jayton41, you got me so wound up I had to join MBWorld just to put my tupence in.
Now listen carefully.
The reason the DTM car sounds high pitched is because the cam, crank, flywheel and everything else on the car are designed to spin at higher revolutions per minute
It's elementary physics of a soundwave, the higher the speed the higher the pitch as the wave carrying the sound resonates quicker, low revolution = lower speed oscilating sound wave and resulting lower pitch
Yes Kleeman do make a supercharger for the V6 engine but why not just buy a C32 and save youself the trouble?
Alternatively you can get the AMG supercharger from Asia, there is a company that make it for AMG that can supply it to you cheaper than the Kleeman
I know this because I was originally going to strip down a C320 and uprate everything to A+ spec including adding a supercharger it works out cheaper to buy a C32.
While you're at it forget the C32 if you want a track car that looks like a DTM and goes like a DTM you can either buy one from Mercedes, source one second hand or fabricate one.
The latter involves buying a donor shell stripping it to bare metal, then seem welding it, fitting a roll cage, race spec anti roll bars, cross struts, race spec merc engine V8 (around £45K fully built, dynoed and blueprinted - this will only last around 5 races before needing an extensive rebuild), underfloor plan in sheet metal, sump guard, inbuilt extinguisher systems in engine bay and inside the cabin, cut outs on the hood and in the car, dog leg short shift box, racing running gear, racing shafts carbon fibre roof hood trunk etc etc - are you getting the point yet??
Mercedes are not track cars by all means buy an AMG strip it down minimise weight get a replacement exhaust system, chip the ECU, replace the springs and dampers and your car will eat most things alive but building a track car requires thought and money neither of which you have shown you posess from your threads.
Dreams are great to have and you should carry on dreaming but first I think you should finish college, put a picture of the car you want on your bedroom wall and use it as a goal to keep you focused
time will fly past and soon you will have the money you need to seriously consider getting the 500HP and 700TQ figures you crave
Incidentally as with front wheel drive cars inherently always torque steering (generally ****** understeer) over 250BHP rear wheel drive cars can't handle more than 650ft/lbs torque..I can't be bothered to explain the laws of friction which govern the contact patch on the black stuff to you right now as I drove 600 miles yesterday to get home to a screaming 8 month old daughter haven't had much sleep and felt I needed to set you straight.
I have worked in the motor trade so don't even begin to question my logic this one thread is all you deserve to know right now.
I will be back with more wisdom at some point soon, I hope my first post was like putting it all on black and leaving the casino with a grin and a bankroll

Only comment I have is that superbee was referring to there being no V4 c class. Other than that, we greatly appreciate your input!!!
They make them for a couple of the Mercedes variants as far as I could make out and am sure with some dedicated research I will find it again and post it on here for all to bare witness!
Glad to be a member of this forum and that the post was so widely received; also bdgdl08 and superbee the whole V4 thing I was just really wound up by the original postee that I went off on a tangent like a scud missle and had to vent

Will be certain to put more insight on here soon as to my C32 plans I have 1 already and wish to get a second, I would love to rip everything out bar the air con and running gear sell it all for spares and use the cash to start a full race tune project with DTM style body.
Maybe one day when I win the lottery having said that though I really like the new W204 by Wald makes me want to trade my C32 in for a newer model
keep up the good work all speak soon
