turn signal light failure
2 days ago my display showed, "turn signal F, L malfunction" the turn signal appeared to have burnt out so i replaced the bulb but there was no change, even when i put the other sides socket in it still doesnt work Mercedes says its a common issue and that it needs a new socket and a wiring harness to ground it. is this true???

Yes....but the "wiring harness" is nothing more than a wire spliced into an existing ground wire and taken directly to the socket. It's a TSB for early Cs.

Well I dunno if it's related or not but the driver side marker, the side light. Failed to. Is this a trend?? Or a sign that it ****s up. Or just unlucky.

Search on the TSB number and related turn signal posts. Most had it done under warranty so the particulars of the TSB are unknown. I seem to remember the purpose of the added wire is to give solid ground to the bulb socket. If you take it out and look it may be obvious. And yes, the side marker is related to the problem as well.

If your under warranty, there shouldnt be a cost for the sockets/wiring
I suggest going to a local benz master mechanic to see what their input is. If something needs to be changed, the cost of labor is usually half of what the benz dealer charges and the parts are at about a 10% discount
