'06 C230 engine
PS: what is the code for this engine anyway, M272?
This stuff has been discussed over and over again, please search the forum about this. To even imply that there SHOULD be some comparison between a W203 C230 and an E46 M3 is absurd. If that kind of performance is what you are looking for, you bought the wrong car.
You might need to make the most modifications to your expectations. It's a small V6 with 200hp.
That said - Welcome to the forums. The W203 is a fine car!

As a fellow '06 W203 C230 SS owner, I can speak to some of the engine's finer and, well, less fine points.
I must reiterate many of the points brought forth by LilBenz - to compare the 2.5L V6-powered C230 to an M3 is apples & oranges to an extent. The C230, particularly the '06-07 naturally aspirated formats (thus why you won't find a pulley upgrade for yours
), are not intended to be rubber melting, fire breathing roughnecks. They're smooth, elegant, and "sporty". The E46 M3 and "tuned" Mini are of a much different flavor, and particularly, purpose. This isn't to say that the 2.5L-powered W203's can't be fun and enjoyable, they just won't be doing it melting any pavement. Do a quick search and perhaps you'll find some modification that may not put you in a 12-second 1/4 mile vehicle, but accentuate the finer points your W203 has to offer.
If you intended to enter the Mercedes-Benz family with the desire of having a bit more performance-poised vehicle, the slightly more brutish C32 or C55 models may have been more your "speed" (pun intended
).Stephen

You new guys crack me up. You refuse to use the search function, start a new thread on a topic that has been pounded to death, imply that you could afford a C55 but bought a C230 for its manual transmission - and expect to be taken seriously?
So here's my enthusiastic response:
1. You bought the wrong car.
2. USE THE SEARCH FUNCTION.

anyway , going back to topic.....basically Klemmann is the only tuner that has the most parts for our cars. As far as family engine, is this unit derived from some other Benz? or is it something new in a line up ?

I think the car is riot - and it gets a lot of attention when it's parked. What's important, anyway? I've quit feeling sorry for myself because it is relatively slow, and just downshift and floor it to cut in front of people on the freeway. I do it whenever I'm feeling down.
i like where this thread is going i didnt know supersprint made exhaust parts for mercedes keep throwin out companys that makes parts for our cars please its very helpful
so are u sure that the c240 exhaust parts will fit the 06 c230 ss ????
I love my 350 but if it was manual then I would love it even more.
Not a lot of 350 manuals. Lucky to find 1 or 2
