I've said this several times before, the NON-AMG w203's are exactly performance cars nor' are they the fastest cars around. If you want speed get a EVO.

A stock EVO is not a fast vehicle, not sure why you consistently recommend it. Any car can be modded to be fast.

But what if you can't pull of the crazy guy evo look. you know 16-25 year old drug user 10+ speeding tickets.

lol just kidding but an evo is not the best car for a lot of people like myself who had a Mitsubishi that went through 3 engines in less than a year. I will never buy one but a wrx i would consider but i like the Germans to much.

I understand a EVO isn't the high price German engineered cars you all are used to, but if you haven't driven a stock EVO it plenty fast compared to most cars on the road, in the same catagory.

Mid-high 13s is pretty quick, but it's also an expensive vehicle. I could never justify the $ for it. The 135i is similarly priced and a bit quicker and has that Germanic feel. If I were going to spend $35-40 on a Japanese car, I'd get a G37S Sedan. I had the coupe and it was stupid, but fast. I think the sedan is much better. It could easily match or beat a stock Evo and is much more luxurious and refined. The Evo is too hardcore for most people. I'm not putting it down, I understand that for what its intended to do it does extremely well. But it's not exactly a price bargain, and IMO, there are much better to be had in the price range.

We think alike because since I listed my w203 for sale I haven't gotten much interest and I was thinking about trading it in for a G35/G37 Coupe only because I don't want to go back into paying $350 a month for full coverage.

Really cool but even if they would go 10 trillion miles with zero issues i still would not buy one. Yes that may be stupid or whatever but everyone has some brand or something they remember or had a bad experience with and know will never buy them, eat there or whatever.
are the guys with that high of miles doing the crazy mods to them to make them fast or stock setups? I spent some time on either a Evo or Mitsubishi board can't remember but they seemed to have someone blowing an engine like every week. this was a few years ago but it was pretty funny. HELP guys i blew my motor. i tried to run at 300PSI and the engine blew sky high. how can i fix it cheap. Sorry i had i had a friend on the forum that i would go and see what he was up to and he was trying to help a guy that had a few buddies over smoking (not cigarettes) and decided to try to mod his dads evo while he was on a trip. He went to a junkyard and found a wrecked evo and started to move parts from that one to his dads. well something was different or something can't remember and the boost was too high and blew the motor.

I had an 08 G37 coupe from 9/2007 till 04/2009 (replaced with 135i). The coupe is <top gear voice> absolutely rubbish! It was reliable and it was fast in a straight line. The seats were among the worst I've been in, the car felt like it weighed hundreds of tons, it understeered like a cow on ice skates. I like the sedan much better, but not enough to have one again.

I'm nearing 48k miles on a 2007 haha, I was looking for 19k. I might as well trade it in.

See Id have a hard time spending $$$$ on an infinity, lexus, or Acura, for a large part they are based on much cheaper cars. I cant help looking at a G37 and thinking overpriced 370Z and for the Sedan, a overpriced Maxima, Also infinity/nissan is one of the worst in interior materials (and IIRC dependability in japanese cars) in the japanese group of cars. That leads me to a lack of desire of them. I just cant see paying a "actual premium" to have a different badge a few options and different fender flares and interior trim. Dont get me wrong they are nice cars, however there just nice versions of a cheaper (money not quality) car.

The G37 does not feel like the 370Z. Nothing wrong with the materials, either. Also didn't have any issues in the 24,000 miles of ownership. Comparing the G37S to a Maxima is even further off, as they're completely different platforms. Family resemblance, of course, but that's it. All car companies have family resemblance.

All cars but MB, BMW, JAG and LR, who as far as I know are the few mainstream companies that dont platform share (well jag with the X type under ford was shared), I know a G37 doesn't feel nor look like a 370 but still my sentiments remain, its a nice version based on a cheaper car. MB BMW ect are the only TRUE makers of a genuine luxury car, not just a cheaper car platform or chassis gussied up to be a luxury car...you know what I mean?

late 2009 CLK 350 Coupe Elegance, '65 Jaguar S Type wires
MB, BMW, Audi & Jag - All spend a fortune on NVH engineering. The others just try to cover it up.
