Help with 2002 C230 M111 !

Hey All,

I own a 2002 C230k, and for the past two months I have been having some serious issues with it. The CEL keeps coming on with the code P0244 - Wastegate control solenoid valve malfunction, at that point the car has no power at all, it seems like its in limp mode and it seems like the car is operating without the help of the supercharger.

I tried reseting the air flap actuator and clearing the CEL and its seem like it will work for a while, but then the CEL will come back.

I am running out of ideas and getting really frustrasted. I have some questions and was wondering if any of you could help.

1) With the ignition on, but the car not on, I hear a buzzing noise from the throttle body, is that normal ?

2) There are two check type valves. Working back and away from the the throttle body, there is a valve that comes from the black plastic covering the Throttle body itself. It is labeled with a Denso sticker, MB P/N 002-140-55-60.There is a second valve downstream and sandwiched between the engine and the firewall. It has a brass type color and is slightly off to the drivers side I am wondering if this could be the issue, and how I would be able to test it.

3) Anyone else have similar issues that they can solved and they can provide insight ?

Thanks - A really frustrated c230 owner

P0244 = Supercharger Wastegate Solenoid A Range/Performance. The likely causes are the solenoid itself or the throttle body actuator. You should get no buzzing noises from the TB actuator.

I just cleaned my TB this weekend, and it was good for one day, but now I am still receiving the CEL.

When you say the TB actuator, do you actually mean the whole TB ?

Also the solenoid, which part is it, what does it look like and where is it located.

Thanks
