i got a crack on my windshield yesterday. do not know how. i came in friday night and everything was good. then saturday morning, a huge crack across the left side in the front. hopefully, this is covered by warranty, but from STFF and reading this thread, i'm doubting it....

$475 is a lot of profit for the dealer. Back when my friend's fiance was a parts manager at a Benz dealership, I got my OEM windshield about $300. Of course that was pretty close to their cost, but he should at least give you a better deal on the part. The thing about the rain sensor is BS. The sensor adheres to the window and does not need to be replaced seperately from the window.
