I use 05 C180 SportCoupe. It has Sport Packet. Tires as Original Equipment

Michelin Pilot primacy
Front:
225/45R17 91W
Rear:
245/40R17 91W

so it has been 4 years even low km (26500) Time to Change .

my question is

Michelin Pilot® Sport PS2™ is better than Pilot® Primacy™ with the same measures ?

THe pilot primacy are horrible tires. They came on my car when we bought it new from Duval Motors in Gainesville (horrible stealership). When I needed a new one, the dealership in Jacksonville, Brumos (amazing), said that they wouldn't put bad tires like that on any of their cars. Definitely go with the PS2s!!!

Ismeto - The PS2 will not work at all in any amount of snow or ice. Period. They don't even work well in cold tempatures.

If you need all season tires, I just put the new Goodyear GT's on my wife's C240 wagon. They are excellent so far -- much better than the Michelin MXV crap-whatever were on there originally. She has less than 1,000 miles on them, but so far so good. If you want to stay with a porty tire from Michelin, the Pilot Exalto A/S have gotten good reviews, as have the Pilot Sport A/S (which are higher performance than the Exalto).

Actually, I think the PS2 is great for wet traction. Just useless on snow. A/S tires are worse in wet compared to max summer tires.

I am also in the market for new tires. I am deciding between PS2 or A/S Plus. Price is only 150 difference for the set but the A/S Plus will last twice as long but will sacrifice some performance/wet traction. According to M3 forum members that switch from PS2, they are reporting strong reports on A/S Plus (not to be confused with old A/S).

Tip: bring tirerack prices and ask local tire shop to match. Americas tire in the bay area was happy to match with shipping included.

I currently have Primacy in the rear, but have some cheapo $70/tire tires on the front... I plan to go with General Exclaim UHP, but those might not work for you. I do have to say that Primacy are amazing on wet roads. I have driven through standing water on the interstate going 75mph, and not hydroplaned a bit!

The PS2 isn't only for dry. They are great for wet traction as well.

Here are the PS2 rating

In conclusion the PS2 are way more superior than the Primacy.

Get the PS2 and call it a day

exactly I do not drive on heavy snow -I do not use winter tires I dont drive heavy winter -

so both of them are Ultra High Performance Tires on catalog... price is exactly same here... maybe 20 USD more expensive PS2 -not important-

The Primacy falls under Grand Touring when the PS2 falls under Max Performance Summer.

If you want performance the PS2 is your best bet.

PS2: Wet = 8.7 Dry = 9.4 Hydroplaning resistance = 8.5 Thread Wear = 7.4
Primacy: Wet = 7.3 Dry= 8.1 Hydroplaning resistance = 7.0 Thread Wear = 5.7

It's obvious that the PS2 is the best choice. Look at the thread wear a little extra for the PS2 will actually save you more and add the superior grip that the PS2 has over Primacy and i'm sure the winner is the PS2.

Get the PS2.

In conclusion Primacy sucks and PS2 is the best bang for your buck.

For all-season go with Michelin Pilot Exalto A/S. Great tires!

GotDaBenz has a good offer. Check it out.

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....omCompare1=yes

not bad

I have never been to Turkey does it snow there? If so then Michelin Pilot Exalto A/S isn't bad. It is only a couple of dollars more 2 -3 dollars and has a little better dry and wet traction and plus it's good for snow.

Maybe something to consider?

PS2s: Be prepared to replace the rears in < 20K miles and fronts ~30K miles.
