bumper antenna?
Presently engaged in a rear bumper swap in my garage and came across a piece of electronic, a loop of cable around the center reinforcement with two flat plastic flat boxes with a cable leading into the trunk area.
The cable has a RF looking connector on it, the catch is that it is not hooked up to anything. Is this a feature that is built in for a possible accessory that I do not have? Or did I accidently pull the connector off?

No, it's the auxiliary tele-aid antenna. When you flip your car over and yank the cellular antenna off the roof, MB figured you would still appreciate a rescue. I'm guessing you do not have tele-aid so no, it was never connected to anything and you don't need it. It is not used for anything else.
