C-Class Separation part II
As the owner of a C Sedan, I don't see any point of separating the Coupes from the Sedans. First off, I've had a lot of my questions answered by Coupe owners, and I appreciate that. Second of all, the coupe owners seem to be very passionate about their cars, and it's refreshing. With the redesign of the C - Class, Mercedes really hit the nail on the head. Would I have bought an older design C-Class sedan? No. It was the coupe that lured me into the dealership, and even though I picked the sedan because it's more practical for me, I feel as if I'm part of the new demographic. If you're really thinking about separating the columns, you might as well do it for the entire board by how much we paid, our ages, our demographics. Not really, I just want to stress that it's nice to see different posts from all demographics in one forum. Whether you bought a C32 for $50k+ or a $25k+ C230, you still bought a C-Class, so what's the point in separation?
Q 2. Is any of this related to the new Coupe demographic?
Q 3. Any relationship between increased traffic and the C-Coupe being a new addition to the C-Class so everyone is more interested AT THE MOMENT.
Q 4. What are the percentage of C-Coupe exclusive questions and answers?
My Answers
1. I can't imagine he could realistically go ahead with splitting this group if the majority voted against it. We should create a vote ourselves.
2. I can't help but wonder. I have thought this before and think the stigma has to be broken. interesting to see what the A-Class brings to the MB image.
3. I would have thought the increased traffic has a correlation between the c-coupe being a new model. Surely traffic will calm down as the model ages.
4. The common threads seem relevant to all models. Wheels, interior changes, CD changer, Getting a better deal and the fiber optics. I don't see any problem with this.
My observations what do you all think?

It didn't work for Hitler, or Stalin, or Castro...why does Accord think it will be accepted here?

separating the C-coupers & coupettes from the sedanophiles, but now I think we
really should
be cut loose. Every thread either starts as or ends up very coupecentric.
It's apparent to me that coupesters are different from "real" or "traditional" or "normal"
mercedes owners. We lack the awe and reverence for the mark. In my opinion,
our inherent
offensiveness would be best contained and controlled in a separate, dedicated
forum.
Maybe you could also add a spell-checking function to stop me from making up
words like
"sedanophiles."

the coupe drivers of today are the s and e class drivers of tomorrow assuming the car lives up to the "awe and reverence" the old school mbers feel.
i guess when we all get our next mb we should create an Eclass generation X board, since we are so different from every other mb enthusiast.
