2006 C230 and I want dual tips on my exhaust

Hello all. I have a 2006 c230 sport sedan. It comes with the oval exhaust tip. I really do not like that style. Can someone tell me which of the AMG and or AMG types will replace this without cutting into the bumper? I was at the dealership today and for an authentic AMG dual tip piece it cost $173 which isn't that bad.

Also, do all of the w203 series have the muffler that bends down/hides into the bumper except that on some models like mine they put the exchaust tip on and some modesl like the 4matics they don't do the exhaust tip on?

I've know that the 2007's c230 sport has the AMD dual tip exhaust. Can anyone confirm if they have done this and the fit? Any cutting required?

Thank you very much in advance. I tried searching the forum for hours for answers to this but was not really successful in getting a clear answer.

Wil

Check out this picture. Previous to 07 has dual coming out. It's just it is connected. Same bumper so I do not see why you wont be able to put a 07 tip on an 06<

WTF. You searched the forum, found the exact topic you were looking for, and posted in it here:

Then you created a new thread?

If you notice, the guy never responded to my question on that thread which is why i clearly stated "I didn't find the answers I was looking for". Further more, some said that the tip on the 07's was welded on. I was just trying to find the truth to that as I'm looking for a bolt on solution. From some photos, depending on the angle, the bumper I saw on the 07s looked a bit diff than on my 06. Just trying to confirm that as well. I thought this thread was to help each other out, not so you can troll on others.

Karo, thanks for helping. I'm gonna slide under my car today and see. I was hoping that someone else had already done this same exact thing and would post some feedback. thanks again, much appreciated.

You gave it only a few hours to get a response in that thread. This forum is to help each other out, and one of the ways we help each other is by doing what we can to avoid thread clutter with multiple duplicate threads on the topics that have been covered again and again. I'll ask a moderator to please merge your thread and the other one.

seriously you have to give it some time for people to respond not everybody is on all the time. bump the thread if you feel like youre not getting the response but you dont have to create a new thread on the same topic. to answer your question i dont think anybody makes a 'kit', but you can always get a one inlet two outlet tip, or two inlet two outlet tip depending on what kind of muffler you have and have any muffler shop weld it on. my $0.02, dont do it, if youre gonna mess with the exhaust save your money a little longer and get a real exhaust sytem. you will enjoy it much more than some fancy tips.

I have heard (pretty sure it's true) that the '07 bumper has a slightly larger cutout than the '05-'06 bumpers.

Yeah, thats what I'm afraid of. I really wouldn't want to have to go in and cut the bumper in fear that it might not end up looking too good. I was hoping someone here that has done this would see the thread and tell me about their experience. Thanks again for posting.
