Transsmision shaking
I have a question. On the 2003 C230K with AT, are the shifting points electronically programmed?
I have 17,800 miles; it seems that the transmission is looking for a shifting point and especially going up on the hills, between the second and the third it starts to shake. Giving more gas the shaking stops but I go too fast.
It does not seem to be from the transmisson just form the syatem which decides when it should shift or downshift.
Could be a software issue?

Is 17,800 miles correct on a 6-7 year old car? How long has it been sitting? It could be a number of things if you don't drive the car very often, including gas going bad (as noted above).

I did not drive it some years ago. For the last 2 years I am using it but I am retired and I have another car too.
The shaking does not seem engine related.
I do not know how to find the codes Do I need to go to a shop with a trouble shooting terminal?

If you are convinced it's not engine then it's likely TCU (software or oil in the harness from the TCU plug in the transmission) or the valve body in the transmission being sticky. Check for codes with a good OBDII scanner & drive the car a little more often & it might clear up with use & reboots.
