Plastic Wedges

Ok, I have STT/STF and haven't found my answer, of course it may be poor searching skills on my part.

I am looking for the part numbers for the small plastic wedges for pulling interior trim parts. (I know, I can use almost anything for it, but I was going to get them if they were reasonable). I have found the number for a large one, but it is blue, and about 8 inches long, I can't find the numbers for the smaller wedges? Anyone happen to know them?

which interior trim are you trying to remove?

I can remove all my trims without it.

Actually I will be pulling the console, the radio trim, the right rear by the rear seat, and most of the trim on the hatch (it's a Coupe) in the next couple of months.

I figured I could get them out without it, but I was thinking they seemed pretty handy, and had some extra money in hand - was thinking they'd just be a nice addition to the toolbox.

I remember the part numbers being on Saprissa's Coupe thread, I believe. I remember seeing the picture of them...there is a long one and a short one, and they had the little hook tool to pull the instrument cluster (that you can also make with a coat-hanger ).

they're plastic pry bars.

I bought a set from Harbor Freight and they work pretty well for $5:

know exactly what you are talking about from carlos' thread, but don't know the part number as well.

the stuff suggested by Phil should work nicely.

Pulling Tool Part Number

The MB part number for the pulling tool is:

W 140 589 02 33 00

The package contains two pulling 'hooks', one for each side of the console.

You insert them (there is only one way to do it), rotate them through 90 degrees and simply pull. The console would come loose easily. I recommend fully dropping and extending the steering column before removing the console.

Hope that helps.

Additionally, there used to be a 'part number' thread (might have been coupe or w203 specific), but it does not appear to be a sticky and I cannot recall the thread name to search for it. It was pretty useful. It remember it had part numbers for things like console and trim parts as well as face lift parts, etc.

Anyone else remember this, or do you all think I dreamt it...
