A C320 Comment From Bimmerfest.org
Not that many more.
BMW sold 213,000 cars in the US in 2001
MB sold 187,000 the same year. For 2002, MB was up to something like 195,000....I don't know BMW's 2002 figures.

I think this is because BMW sells a lot more cars in the US than MB, and tends to sell them to a younger audience more interested in mods. If MB had the same sales volume and demographic as BMW, I'm sure there would be a lot more aftermarket support. Look how much aftermarket stuff there is for VW, even more and usually cheaper than BMW.

would u all really be complaining that much if had both?
been in 325 and c320, both automatic. the 325 is definitely more sparse than a c320, which is actually fairly luxurious. the c320 really leans quite a bit tho...and the 325 just feels so at ease in the twisties. the 325 really feels quite bumpy sometimes, not harsh at all (u should ride my wagon), but quite bumpy...c320 is fairly smooth and well, caddi like. both cars had sports package btw...can't we simply agree c-class is more luxurious, 3-series is more sporty.
btw....i don't think i've seen a 3-series taxi-cab in europe...but i've seen plenty c-class and e-class taxi-cabs....

i think that about sums it up. got any pics of that volvo wagon? i test drove an 850 turbo wagon shortly before we got my wife's car in '86 - couldn't believe the acceleration - thought it was the best kept secret in cars, a real "q-ship".
Did you try turning in the 850R, I thought it was the worst understeering car I have ever driven, sure was fast though.
still...i like how i can smoke people and remain a sleeper haha. some pix can be found at stickypix.com

I bet AWD one will be more fun to drive.
