Wanted: OEM 17" 5 Spoke (curved) Wheels or ?

Hey All,

I'm looking for an inexpensive set of the 17" curved 5 spoke wheels that came on the '05 sport sedans. These are a staggered setup with 7-1/2" fronts and 8-1/2" rears. I'm just looking to update the looks of my '02 wagon. Looking to keep it under $200 (tires are not necessary). If you have something else that might work, please let me know. I'm in So. Cal. and can p/u.

Thanks

Henry

I think there's a set for sale in the "Wheel & Tire" classifieds forum. I don't remember how much they were asking for them, but if you found any in even decent or better condition for $200 or less per set I would be utterly stunned.

I just saw a set (in Orlando, sorry) on Craigslist for $450 with pretty new tires. They were in great condition, only a little curb rash at the very edge of 1. Check around.

To provide some insight, I inquired about that very set of wheels and the rear tires are nearly shot (down to the wear bars) and from what I could tell, the fronts weren't far behind. I believe almost all wheels had some form of rash with the most being found on the fronts.

Just FYI.

Oh thanks! I asked the guy for better pictures, and all he said was that there was what I said previously. I never got better pictures. Thanks! Sorry for the bad information.

Hate to burst your bubble, but there is no way youll find them for $200. Maybe you can find a similar replica wheel on ebay? Those wheels fetch about $100-$150 EACH

I know $200 is on the low side, but I don't think it is out of the question. Might be someone just wants to clean out the garage (and I don't need tires). Either way, let me know if anyone knows of any.

Thanks

I bought a set of the 17" "funnel" wheels off an '05 SS that were in almost new condition. Only one wheel had the slightest bit of curb rash. Heck, the rear tires still had 5/32 and the fronts were 10/32. I got lucky and great seller. Well below $300. A little persistance and time on my hands (not working) and it paid off.

Thanks guys.

Thanks guys.

Actually Frank, I was thinking of a lift kit for the rear and throwing on some mud flaps...only if I had a 4matic

I know...I'm working on dropin' it some. I'd like to do a 2" drop in the front (look at that huge gap) and 1" in the rear to give it a "raked" stance (and so I don't bottom out when I load it up). Unfortunately, not alot available for wagons (apparantly the wagons are different than the sedans accoding to H&R). Let me know if anyone knows differently.

Keep looking, you'll find a deal out there. With so many people upgrading to 18 & 19's there's bound to be some OEM's sitting in the garage collecting dust. Good luck.

BTW, I just found this down here in So. Cal...
