C230 K coupe Orion blue, Evo, prem leather roof, premium sound and cd changer, auto.
speakers on Bose Premium Sound in C-coupe

Lynn, the fuzzy material covering the plastic enclosures in the rear seat foot area are connected to the subwoofer pipes. The rear speakers are located on the bottom right and left rear of the doors.

This brings the total speakers on the C-coupe Bose premium sound system to eight. Two tweeters, one center, Two forward door, two rear door and one sub woofer (piped in front of rear seats, two outlets).

I've confirmed the function of the rear enclosures with my Merc dealer.

Yep, there are eight speakers, two tweeters in the top front of the doors, two mid-range at the lower front and rear corners of each door, the center fill in the dash and the bass madule between the right cargo compartment wall and the right quarter panel. Just like I posted in this thread and others for a few months.

The way the car is designed it is not possible to run a tube from the right rear of the car to the plastic cover in the left rear footwell. And that cover in my car is solid, no perforations for sound. The right cover conceivably could be a bass port with some very complicated plumbing, but it is not. It is solid just like the left side. No sound comes out of it no matter how loud the volume. The picture originally posted by avlis shows no sound pipes attached to the bass module.

Salesmen often don't know every feature of the cars they sell.
