how to fill up the coolant - 02 coupe
my car display "low coolant check" today
I lost my mannual.
where the heck is the coolant cap?
I don't want to bring to dealer for fill up, can some please help?

Out Of Control!!
Alan, the cap is on the far left of the pic, about a third of the way up. The tank is opaque with a black top.
One thing, though - I and some others have had an issue with that sensor (I recently had both that and the windshield washer fluid sensors replaced), so if it looks like there's enough coolant, that may be the issue instead.
I answered this earlier, but the forum decided to go down just as I was going to hit send.

I too have the broken coolant sensor. I'm comfortable with the level, but the sensor says low. Darn thing will come on about every 5 minutes.
How much was the new sensor Tommy?

Out Of Control!!
For both of them at the dealership, it was $600-something. I'm sure it's a cheap part that's probably easy to do, but until either I magically get mad skillz or the Benz becomes as easy to work on as the CRX, I'll stick to free loaners and work I semi-trust.
Also, Ed - the windshield washer fluid and coolant level sensors are linked like Xmas tree lights (or a reasonable facsimilie thereof), so make sure you or whoever is working on your car double checks the ww fluid sensor as well.
