I figured I'd share a fun story: So last night my friend and I were driving back from a failed Yogurt Land adventure and were going back to my house for some *Ahem* drinks at 1AM when she randomly invites me to drag race her Civic. Naturally assuming she knows nothing about cars, I laughed and took her up on the challenge.
So we pull up to a light along Westwood near Wilshire Blvd in the early 1ish morning with no one in sight. As the light goes green, we floor it; my 240 beating her Civic right off the bat, but she keeps trying as much as she can at least. We gun it for a half-mile or so, with me hitting 90mph when suddenly - Flashing red/blue lights. Oh ****. We both carefully slide to a slow stop at the next light and the cop car pulls up behind me as I slowly contemplate my fate in prison with a mug shot as my facebook profile pic and my precious car being sold at some police auction to some mafia kingpin.
Slowly, two cops pull up right next to me, roll down the window, and one of them yells in an annoyed tone: "Hey kid, you guys wanna lose your cars?" Dizzy and still in a petrified state, I apologize and tell him we just got off school and were mere venting some pent-up frustration. I figured it was the best excuse at the time. He and his partner squint at me for a while, not buying it. But somehow, magically, they shrug and wave us on after some choice words; all without issuing any warnings/tickets or checking license/registration/or even stopping us. PHEW. The adrenaline coursing through my veins was intense. What a close call!
Anyway, I'm really glad they let me off the hook and I'm definitely going to cool it a little on the street racing (Not that my 240 can beat anything but...). If I had indeed gotten pulled over or stopped, I would've been F-ed thanks to the drinks in the car plus my sister being crazy drunk (lol) in the passenger seats behind.
So all in all a good night with a crazy story to tell; no point to make apart from the sheer entertainment value. Hope ya'll enjoyed it.

Haha you can drag race any car (And probably lose). Yes it is pretty slow, but like there are tons of faster cars, there are always others that are wayyy slower (i.e. the Civic in this case)

They probably sat in their patrol car and did their best Mr. T impersonation of "I pity the fool!" to your clash of the titans drag war. ![Stick Out Tongue](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/tongue.gif)
You got very lucky that it wasn't worse.
Speaking of getting lucky, did you?

You are sooo f'ing lucky...
I got a speeding ticket Sunday night driving back up to Davis...
But what irks me is that the officer was on the on-ramp right before my exit, so there's no way I could've seen him.
He pulled me over as I was exiting, about 200~250ft away from hitting Davis off the freeway... I was soooo close to safety![smash](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smashfreak.gif)
I'm going to contest this by trial by written declaration, and hope the cop doesn't reply. But it's yolo county, maybe he will.
But maybe my fine / points will be lowered.
Then I'll try a trial de novo to get off hopefully =/
Gotta' TRY X_x
Can't afford the ticket AND traffic school!

im 2/2 for evading 100mph+ tickets. Once an undercover the first week I got my car and the second at 2am on some wiiiide open street. I was like, honestly officer...i was just being a dumb kid and wanted to push the limit a little and didn't see any harm in it since there was nobody else on the road but i am stupid for overlooking my own safety. Then he just checked my license and let me go.

Haha what! Oh come on guys; What's with all the C240 hate! It's still a w203! Yes I know its slow, but there are worse cars out there....
I hear ya though iJimpanzee and paypaboi. I actually got a ticket for 100+mph the week after I first got my license in my first car (Audi A4)... That kind of left a bitter after-taste

I'm guessing my 5000lb R500 is faster. And that's the slowest car I own. Can't really count our C240 anymore since I gave that to the nanny 2 years ago.
Come on man, if you're gonna race, please have a proper racing type car. The C240 is such a heap.

lol the only thing i ever raced if you could call it that was a 93 ford explore. we were driving from northern va to university of Alabama. i was in my white c320 and my friend was in his lifted white 93 explore. we were having fun passing each other and trying to get as far ahead of each other as we could. and if someone cut us off the second he got over we would both gun it and blow by as fast as we could. we never got above like 100. nothing like driving two really high mileage cars like you stole them. lol mine had like 125,000 his had like 201,000

hahaha you got sooooo lucky
Give him some slack he was just having fun. To most his 240 is slow and to some a c32 or even a c55 is slow
I don't know how you went 90 on Wilshire. Those streets are all messed up. The roads are so messed up that the bumps feel like speed bumps.
