Kleemann Blower on a W203

Hi again, I've been researching all the past threads on the Kleemann blower kit but not too many have been done on a W203. Can people please list their experiences with this setup for this chasis here?

1-Price plus Install

2-Pros / Cons with the setup

3-Additional comments or anything I would need to know about the kit on a 2003 C240. Is the kit worth it on a 240? Does it perform similar to the C320? Clearance issues with the additional blower belts with engine "shifting" under increased throttle? Aftermarket fuel pump needed? Is the powdercoated airbox included with your kit? Does your dealer void factory warranty?
etc....

4-Plus pictures if any on the unit installed plus any related mods installed.

Anyone know of any other authorized installers in Calif besides Evosport, Conversion Techniques, and Canepa Design? Quality of work?

Thanks! =)

I've also been interested in these superchargers for a while. The blower for the c240/320 costs $8,400 and I would assume it would make a c240 significantly faster than a stock c320 because it brings the c240's hp up to 240. You should check out the kleeman website http://www.kleemann.dk/index.htm .

The 240 is a 2,6, the hp will be approx. 260.

The "2,4 liter M111" power graph on the KLEEMANN home page is the 4 cylinder boost kit, which raises power to approx 238 Crank HP.

With virtually all of the V6 M112 Kompressor systems the power is 100+HP per liter displaced as measured at the crank. Actual measured figures will vary up or down with ambient conditions, your car etc.

The BIG question that I have:

Is the stock Mercedes clutch on the C320 cars up to the task of handling all the torque Kleemann blower produces?

I was told that the tranny was up to the task but how long would that clutch last and what would the upgrade path be if and when it failed. Does Kleemann recommend a clutch upgrade for manual tranny owners?

There has to be some reason that Mercedes doesn't offer the manual setup on the more powerful cars. Something other than limited demand that is.

I have never heard or experienced any problems with the clutch.

Why MB / AMG only offers aut.tranny, my guess would be it's a DC / AMG political thing.

My clutch is fine. No problems with holding the power.

1- Evosport does good quality work. I got my C240 done there. Their price is listed on their website. www.evosport.com

2- Pros - its fun and fast, esp with 6 speed.
Cons - might lose warranty

3- Kleemann C24K will outperform a C320 easily. Its not even a contest. I can pull on a CLK430. Standard fuel pump is suppose to be fine. You can upgrade to be more safe. The pink cover is not included. At least I didnt get one. I dunno if dealer voids the warranty.

4- do a search. I posted pics up before.

Hope this helps.
