silver slates behind grill?
i didnt realise that the nonsport grilles had silver slates behind the chrome and went ahead blcking out the chrome bit and now it looks like ****. what paint should i use for painting the silver bits?? does anyone know?

isnt it black??? i was thinking of painting mine to but i dont know... i have the same car as you with the same color... lol and geuss what im from vancouver bc to hahaha.... if you paint it post a pic so i can see what mine would look like!

i got the emblem free from dealer. its not the screw on kind tho. they stuck it on with sum sort of putty

But the dissassembly itself is very difficult.
I just painted my grille as well. What I did was I had my grille sandblasted to remove EVERYTHING off the grille wether it was chrome/silver/plastic. After that I was working with just a clean grille. I spray 2 coats of white primer, 1 coat of black primer and then 3 thin coats of black paint. Total cost = ~$40

when i had it done, first time around, years ago the guy charged me $100 for the grille and the googles...i knew he was ripping me off, but then i had money and didnt care

haha im thinking bout getting the rieger or the carlsson but im too broke
i didnt sand it much.. just used sum black primer and black paint, seems to be sticking fine
