Does turning on the netherlands feature chirp disable the panic button alarm

2003 C230K Panic button not working

i wanted to test on my panic button, after pressing the button nothing happens, took it to the dealer. the car is there now. The service manager thought there was an aftermarket alarm on the car because i enabled the netherlands function noted below. he then in my opinion is guessing that because i enabled this feature my panic button will not work anymore, i dont think he knows for sure. the shop forman who was looking into the issue is out today, i dont want to have to make another trip to the dealer if i dont have to. thus the million dollar question, "Does turning on the netherlands feature chirp disable the panic button alarm?"

as always thanks in advance for your help you guys are great!

christian.

How can I make my C230 alarm "chirp" when armed/disarmed?
At the dealer, using the MB factory handheld laptop tester, go into the car's computer system.
Go into Programs
Locate the Rear SAM Program
Locate Body
Select Netherlands
Now the car does a "chirp, chirp, chirp" when locking/arming and a single chirp when unlocking/disarming

sorry to rip on ya, but if you would have done a simple forum search before taking your car to service, you wouldn't have run into this mess at all. it's been discussed many many times.

sorry i wrote the email in a hurry, and didnt specify that The car was being taken in for replacing the hood pad, i realized the panic button didnt work a couple hours or so before i took the car in and asked them to look at it.

at service "A" the oil cap was not securly put on and oil went everywhere, after a 120.00 engine detail bill and replacing the hood pad and cabin filter everything is finally back to normal.
