Just bought my 06 C230 6 Speed White on Grey...Very excited!
Hey guys, just thought I would introduce myself. I have been lurking on here a few days, reading up and learning about my car. I got as the title says a C230 Sport with a 6-speed. Seems like a pretty rare find, I only have seen this one and there where 7 out of the 491 on ebay so I assume they are not terribly common.
Picked it up for 17,500 at a local used car dealer here, I got an extended 4 year 48k bumper to bumper to compliment the factory warranty which is up n february of next year.
Its going in tomorrow to have the sunroof looked at, it keeps retracting when trying to auto close, I tried resetting the roof and re-aligning the sensors or whatever, but upon listening to it I think its a weak motor. It makes a louder noise in 2 areas when going back and the tracks are clean and it resist at those 2 same points so my bet is it needs a motor.
They also said while there that they are going to do a TSB on some sort of motor cable? Any one ever herd of it, I read the TSB thread but it stops at 05. I tried googling for tsb but came up empty handed or with sites that wanted cash.
I think its due for an oil change, it said service was 288 days over due, which is allot. I ordered a oil pump so I can do the oil change. I already cleared the reminder because its freaking annoying thanks to the helpful DIY thread. I look forward to learning more about this car and maybe meeting up with every one at a meet or g2g in the future.
Anyways here are the pics, It still needs a clay bar badly doing it along with my friend on thursday.
Let me know what you think, or if you have any solutions or answers to my questions. Also is there any type of ECU flash for these cars, I had one on almost every other car I had but only saw flashed for the AMG vehicles.
And these where what the dealer had posted interior wise..

Congrats and Welcome to the Forum.
There is an ECU tune for you engine. Also are you planning on doing any mods?

In standard form, the C230 2.5 produces 201 hp and 181 lb.-ft.
Powerchip has a range of chips to suit your car, which can increase it's power to between 215 hp and 221 hp, and it's torque to between 193 lb.-ft and 199 lb.-ft.

1999 CLK320 (sold), 2007 C230 SS (gone), 2000 Grand Marquis, 2011 CR-Z, stay tuned...
Welcome to the forum. Good to see someone else from Florida! Like the car and the pictures. The only thing I would change about my car is the transmission... wish I had a 6 speed. If you're ever up in St. Augustine or Jax let me know. Cheers!

Id like to get better flowing filters for the intake (since it already intakes air front the front grill) K&N or some special make, I assume the MB stock filters are restrictive. I also wanted to look at a full exhaust and of course the flash, I really dont know what other popular mods there are for these cars. Im hoping yall would have some suggestions.
Thank you all for the compliments thus far.

Sigh.. wish my car was a 6MT again.
I've said this a million times but the facelifted AMG-packaged Sport Sedans are absolutely gorgeous and make the older models look irrelevant.
I have that interior.. and it's ridiculous. It's a labor of love keeping it clean. I have so many wipes, conditioners, even its own Crest Spinbrush Pro.

Welcome - I have the light grey interior with full leather. Still looks as new after 6 years. Just requires some minor care - Don't worry. And I'm an **** Virgo!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Even my steering wheels is grey - same as dash top.
The light grey interior gives the car a nice open airy feel.

Oh okay if you have the leather option. My car has leather inserts and it has aged just fine. Some very minor wear lines but nothing to complain about really.

Nice pics,
I have the full leather package as well, but unlike the newer models, the leather is everywhere; inserts, bolsters, headrests, door panels, ect. My interior is black so keeping it clean is not a worry but maintainning it and having it feel soft is. Very happy i paid the extra premium to get the full leather.
