ESP, BAS, ABS, WHATS THE DEAL
Hey I posted the other night about my problem, car goes into limp mode can go no faster than 5 mph, car does not shift out of first gear.... all lights comeon ESP, ABS, BAS, etc.... take it to the repair shop and was told it was my battery, got a new battery, codes went away... car drove PERFECT yesterday.... go to bed wake up get in the car crank it up, cranks up fine, all lights come on again, and goes into LIMP MODE... take it back to repair shop and i am told that it is my ESP CONTROL MODULE.... not the ESP sensor, because I HAD THIS REPLACED 2 months ago.... so now looking at either brand new with parts and labor 1800 or go used at 600.00
HAS ANYONE HEARD OF THIS?
apparently the CANs are not speaking to each other
please help in desperate need of some knowledge

OK just read your first thread. first you should have continued on with that thread and not started a new one. second if you just replaced the module due to an accident and it already failed go back to your insurance company and get a new one done at the dealer so that you know it is done properly.
ok never mind on my first point because you posted in the wrong section twice. you know what they say third times the charm.

ok as for the esp thing how long has it been since the wreck you might be able to get them to fix it if it has not been that long. worth a shot i don't really know anything else about the esp module i think someone replaced one on here a while back but can't remember exactly if it needs and coding to get it to work because it could save you a lot of money doing it yourself if it is plug and play. gl
