Camshaft Position Sensor Pictures Needed Please
Please guys if anyone could post some pictures to locate the Camshaft Position Sensor please do. I will never figure out where is it unless i see pictures. Its a 2006 C230, i was searching but i could not find any picture and i'm wondering if i could change it myself and if i should go with the orig from the dealer or if its ok to use the bosch one

Hi,
If you do a quick search, you'll find a official thread for replacing these suckers. There are probably no real pics because the location is very, very tight, and there's no way anyone can stick a camera there. It's a more feel by fingers job.

OK - now you need an OBDII/CAN scanner to tell you which sensor is duff.
Remember
Bank 1 = 1, 2, 3 cylinders (fuel door side/passenger side) OBDII protocol dictates that bank 1 is the bank containing cylinder 1
Bank 2 = 4, 5, 6 cylinders - the drivers side in the US
Inlet cams are centre of V - exhaust cams are obviously exhaust manifold side of each cylinder Bank.
