I was on park and just listening to my radio for about 20 minutes... and when I started the car, 3 malfunctions displayed on my dash. ABS system visit workshop, ESP not available and BAS brake assist not available. I started driving the car and have noticed the car won't go as fast as I step on gas pedal and RPM was higher. It also felt like the car will stall at stop too.
So I drove it for about 4 miles thinking maybe it needs to recharged the battery. I let car the cooled off for about 45 minutes , and when I started the car again , 3 malfunctions was gone and the car was back to normal. Any concern that I need to worry about? battery, alternator... need your opinion, I drive an '03 c230K. thanks, Paul

How old is your battery?
My best guess is either it's going, or you ran it pretty low. Strange though, because the car shouldn't allow you to run it down, it's supposed to warn you and turn the radio (and other accessories) off until you start the engine.

I'm the second owner.. I can ask the previous owner a friend. I'm assuming the battery is the original. The car has 70k miles... most car if the battery is weak, they won't start at all. thanks

The later model C-class cars warn you of low battery voltage and tell you to "START ENGINE". If the battery is original, though, it was time for it to go.

Something triggered limp mode. A reboot by restarting the car seems to have corrected it. Might just be a one off ECU glitch.

My MB mechanic told me it could be the brake lamp switch...but to be sure he needs to run some test...plug in his computer into car and see what the readings.
