I had these 3 malfunctions (BAS, EAS, ESP visit workshop) flash as I was driving. A search of the forums for a different model revealed that I need to replace a switch located under the brake pedal but there is nothing there. The malfunctions have since gone away but I'm worried that this will cost me an arm & a leg later on. Any advice?

I thought the flaky stop lamp switch (the one you're talking about) still existed in the pre 2005 C class?
I could tell you more, but I would have to search the forum. Sorry.

Oh and you need to search for brake switch, BAS ABS ESP. I don't think there is an EAS.... anyone?

See my thread ( 3 malfunctions displayed on my dash..) a similar problem I posted yesterday 10/24. Not sure if the symptoms are the same. I drive an '03 230k, and now the car is fine.

Where is it located? What part do I ask for at the Stealership?

The stop lamp switch is high on the pedal assembly - deleted in newer models & picked up from the ABS system

I had the same problem last week. The lights came on once but when I restarted the car again, they were disappeared.

What will be the fix for these 3 lights? My car did not come with brake light switch (confirmed by the dealership and my research).
