Help Needed Regarding C Coupe
It must have been years since i last posted here...Just a quick update for fellow members. I owned a C230 Coupe since 2002, and after graduating, i went back to Asia in 2005.
Over the years, I got myself a E90, a Mk V Gti and a 645 convertible in Asia.
However, the Coupe still holds a very important place in my heart. I am currently back in Los Angeles for my wedding, and seeing the sorry state of my Coupey, i kinda wanna "revive" it.
Therefore, i am back in this forum, looking for leads on where to get certain stuff which i am certain i need to replace on my car.
1) Headlights
2) Plastic Cover below the 3rd brake light
3) Front bumper (some minor cracks)
Also, is there any good body shop you guys can recommend for a complete paintjob. Any indication on pricing will be much appreciated.
Life has moved on, and i have owned several cars till date, but I really need your help in making me fall in love with my first car again!
THANKS
.

anyway... for headlights if money is no issue ebay or myeuroparts.com (but seem something wrong with the listing of parts so just call them) for the bumper ebay also... plastic covers...
I would go to eurorev for installing my stuff... Trending Topics

well, since you're baller in asia, might as well buy new facelift halogens for your coupe!
I'm taking a wild guess you're from HK!
and i think i was one of the first to have a quad exhaust..although i kinda remember renntech having the first 1.. =0
for those who never seen my car before..here are some pics..all mods done before 2003.
never know my car will gather so much interest...
here we go..hmm, just realise none of the pics show my C32 brakes, not that it is any big deal nowadays (but hey! it was something back then ok!! haha)
& im planning a quad exhaust in case i dont buy a clk500
id say now you need :
updated grill, headlights and tail lights (specially the tails because your car got a clean look (non tinted side markers, wheels..)
and that cell phone on the wheels lip shows how old are the pictures

i think my car is due for the following changes
1) New rims
2) Modification to exhaust (current exhaust is too loud)
3) Bodywork (front bumper + plastic cover below 3rd brake light)
4) New windscreen (the current windscreen has a very fine chip)
5) Redoing the interior
6) New suspension
7) Perhaps, but not necessary, new brakes
I am getting married this saturday, and my wife will move back to asia with me. In the near future, i will not be residing in the states. Most prob will spend 3 wks to 1 mth every year here.
Dont think i have the financial means to buy a holiday home here yet (cant afford those i like, dont like those i could afford), therefore most prob will leave my car at my in-laws house (where it has been for the past 4 years). They do not have a covered garage for my car, nor do they take very good care of cars.
Therefore, i am left with few choices now. (no, selling the car is never an option... will keep it till the day i die!)
Should i revamp the car now? the prob is, i dont get to enjoy it since i wont be here very often, or should i do it later on? like 2-3 yrs down the road? will the parts be even harder to find?
oh btw, the cloth cover in my panaromic roof broke down on me. Apparently, the cable snapped, and the mechanic my wife brought it too, wanted 2k to fix it!! omg...
give me some clues man.... another factor, even when i am wealthy enough to own a holiday home here, this will only be my 2nd/3rd car. Most prob will get a SUV/MPV/ Station Wagon, to cater for the kids =0
parts are already hard to find, in 3 years it will be nearly impossible to find headlights !!! unless you still plan on paying 1500$ for bix when you car will be worthing just a little more than that hahahah
but it still to loud as I dont have a muffler...
thats why I dont have a MUFFLER
there is no space to put the second muffler in... or trying to bridge it from the left side... if not i would have done it...
