2005 C Wagon (No snickering please!)
I believe it is on the seating surface only, and it is from cows. Wine comes from Napa.
I was always told by wardrobe people that Nappa leather is from goats or sheep, and tanned in chrome salts to give a supple luxury feel. Some Mercedes cars do use it as an option.

Yes - unless you have the full leather option (don't know if it was available in the US) - recognised easily by double stitching & puckered door panels, you have MBTex with cow inserts.
MBTex is vinyl - also known in Benz speak as "Taxi leder" - Tough stuff & quite convincing. I prefer my full leather set up but some would disagree.
About 50% of Benz & BMW leather comes from obnoxious South african cows - bovine flatulence & all that.
