Squeak and Click
After driving my car today and coming home and parking, I noticed that when I put it in park and let go of the brake it makes a clicking noise. Never had this problem before.
So i tried it a few times and it clicks every time I put it in park and let go of the brake. I can feel the click through the gear lever also. And it is pretty loud, i can hear it even with my windows closed.
Additionally I noticed a squeaking noise when I change the gear while I was trying to listen to the clicking noise. Say I change from park to reverse or from park to drive etc I always hear a squeaking noise.
This problem started today. I have a C350 4 matic. The weather here is around 0 celsius at the moment so getting cold. Could this have something to do with my 4 matic system or the weather getting colder?
Thanks in advance for any insight on this.

Can you post a sound clip for us to listen to. It could be anything from a purge valve to a damaged flex plate to something loose in the exhaust.

I just saw this. Are you sure the click you hear when you put the car in PARK and release the brake isn't just the shift lock mechanism? My car has always done that.
