Almost there........pic
i bought a new Genesis 4.6 sedan, so i'm only driving the C230 three days a week, instead of 6...
here's a camera phone pic i snapped on my way home today:

raccon took out the passenger fog light and temp sensor..that's why it says "-40" degrees outside.
finally did my first coolant flush a couple weeks ago as well as the second serpentine belt change. will be doing the 2nd set of spark plugs (3 if you count the originals) at the next service interval.
BTW.....I chose the Genesis after giving the09 E350 sport, several test drives.

getting the clear bra put on and windows tinted this week.
i've already done the KDM badge swap on the rear and I will add the KDM badge to the front once the 3M bra is installed.
I ended up getting it for $36,600.00 about $5k less than the low mileage E350 i was looking at. Trust me, I still love the look of the E350, but after driving the Genesis two times over a month long period, i couldn't say no.
Hands down, my little C230 has been the most reliable car I have ever owned.
That's why I'm keeping it.
it's crazy to think that my car has never, not started or left me stranded...never! I even have the factory battery. Just unbelievable.

btw have you replaced your water pump? also i see your speed lol wish i lived in Florida if i got up to even 80 around where i live i would be busted in 2 seconds by multiple cops i don't know if i should
or
make sure to get us a 200k pic do you have the high mileage award?
Congrats on the Genesis. That's an awesome car. I agree the E350 Sport is a great looking car but the Genesis is quite a bargain for all that you get.
I think I did that hose TSB a while back, but it was covered under warranty.
I also did the cam sensors at 100+k miles, because everyone was saying I should. Mine were fine, but we went ahead and did it anyways.
Yes, I plan on getting the entire front end repainted. That's the worst looking part of the car right now, because of the bugs, sand, rocks, animals, etc..
It doesn't help that I usually do between 80-90mph for a good 30 mile stretch each day...It's like sandblasting my paint at those speeds.
I think it may also be time for new rear shocks. When I did the lowering springs, all around, I didn't do the shocks..So, the shocks have been operating under conditions they were not designed for...I may even throw the stock springs back on it, when I do the shocks.
Yeah, I love the E350 sport....But I already have a slow mercedes. I can't afford the Mercedes I would like to have...Well, I could probably afford the payments, but not the maintenance....This Genesis was just too much car for the money...I like the fact that most people in the market for this type of Luxury are too hung up on a stigma to buy one...They would be embarrassed to tell their friends and neighbors that they bought a "Hyundai"...I like not having a "me too" car and I'm cool with saying I own a Hyundai.....Maybe not 10 years ago, but they've come a long way since then.

I removed the "flying H" from the rear and rebadged it with the Asian Genesis Wings. I have the wings for the front, but want to wait for the clear bra to be installed this week, before adhering it to the hood.
I'll probably to the centercaps swap as well.
This week is tint, clear bra and HID conversion for the high beams and fog lights. Similar to what I did on the C230. I leave early in the morning each day and having the xenon conversion in the high beams makes a huge difference
The license plate is actually a transfer from a BMW I owned 7 years ago. I just happen to have the plate in the garage. It will be swapped out once my new plate comes in the mail.

Genesis is Titanium Gray, black interior, V8, and Tech Package.... Let me tell you, the stereo system in this car is so nice it's almost silly. 17 speakers, 526 watts. 6 disc DVD, i-pod adapter, etc... Just insane how clear it is.
I have not really driven it too hard yet..trying to break it in. Especially since the Asians seem to build cars that start burning oil at 60k miles. Once I get it broken in, I'll update with how it feels under full throttle.
BTW...I have a 6 week old and a 2.5 year old. That's the biggest motivation for getting something bigger the my C-Class. If not, I would have given some serious thought to the great looking 2010 C-Class. You have to admit, the new C-Class is a sweet looking ride!

I'll get some pics of the interior with my digital SLR camera.. The phone pictures don't come out too well.
The choices I was down to for a new car:
V8 Genesis w/tech (new)
08 or 09 E350 Sport (used)
09 or 2010 E300 with manual trans (new)
2010 VW GTI with APR Stage III (new)
The GTI and C300 were first to be nixed because I wanted something bigger.
The wife would have flipped out if I came home with a GTI..She knows I have a soft place in my heart for them, but with the two youngins, it's not a wise choice. The GTI would be my equivalent to a mid-life crisis car. LOL

I felt bad, so I took her for a wax job.
on the way home I hit the big 200k mark....wooohoooo!
