From what I understand, there have been mixed results when dealing with the HIDs. Some people are fine and some people have issues. I bought the error eliminators to be covered. I don't want to be stuck waiting for them once I have the lights if I find out that I need them. I plan to test the system and return them if they're not needed.

Your healights are H7

Your foglight are 9006

Stock is 4300K

I wouldn't get anything over 6000K. It becomes too blue and cops stop you. If you have nothing to worry about then 8K

Below 4300 is yellower
4300 is white
6000 is light blue (slightly blue)
8000 is Blue
above that becomes darker more into purple.

Almost forgot there is 35w and 55w.

55w is more brighter than 35w.
I use 35w and I live in the city so it's good enough for me. But if you live around the suburbs or anywhere that there aren't a lot of traffic/lamp posts then I would go 55w

I was told that 6000k it pretty much pure white, and that with the 55w, because of the increased output, that they run whiter. I went with the 55w because I live on A1A, which, where I am, runs through Guana State Park without any supplementary lighting whatsoever. I also have a farm in the middle of nowhere, so maximum light output was the goal. I even thought about getting the 55ws for my highs, but I figure I can always go back and do those later if I decide for them. I'm not sure if I mentioned it in my first post here, but I didn't go with the $30 Raptors, I bought the Apexicone ones.

EDIT: So, I know that this would pretty much be complete overkill, but I was wondering if anybody had tried the 55w for fogs. I know that the site says that it is not recommended because of the heat involved, but I am curious if it is doable.

Factory Xenon's are 4300K. The reason factory Xenon's seem to have a slight blue/purple tint is because of the projector beam. The light itself is not blue/purple at all, but the projector beam causes a "sparkle" to make it look that way.

I have OEM Bi-Xenon's with OEM 4300K bulbs. I have 6000K HID's in my fog lights. My foglights look much bluer than my Bi-Xenon's. However if you are adding an aftermarket Xenon kit to your factory halogen headlights, then 6000K HID headlights should match perfectly with 6000K HID fog lights.

If anyone installs the Raptor 35W or 55W HID's on their car, please let me know if you see any errors..without the use of any error eliminators. Also any blinking when the engine is on and when its cold out?

Thanks.

No my car has OEM xenons form the factory. I just want my fogs to match so i will probably go with the 4500 K

That's a video of my C230 running 55w 6000k HIDs. The camera simply couldn't capture it any better. This does them no justice.

they seem to be aimed a bit low

but then again, aiming the halogens higher would totally blind oncoming traffic

Wow that looks very good Matt. I have the 35w 6000k and my light output isn't that great. I think it's hitting a little low on mine that's why.

Looks Good

WOW HUGE PROBLEM

I was driving and the "left fog light out" light comes on.....like 5 seconds later I hear something. I pretty much instantly knew what happened. I pull over and see my ballast on the ground connected to the bulb via 2 wires BUT the OEM plug is not there......I later found it on the ground yanked out of where ever it goes. So now I can't re-connect it, or even put in a regular fog light. I guess I have to go to a mechanic now.........

idk why it fell off. I attached it w/ the HD 2 Sided tape...it was really sticky. The other 3 are all fine too

Zip ties. Use zip ties. That double sided tape won't do much justice. Remember for the lowbeams don't mount the ballast near the ESP. There are rummors that it screws up your ESP module.

how did your ballast end up on the ground? isn't there a shield it would have fell into. the tape never works for long remember the engine bay gets warm which doesn't help the tape plus bumps and other stuff keep it from adhering well. sorry this happened you just got it installed gl getting it fixed

They're not aimed low. They have the factory aim of the halogens. It's the camera. When you're in the car the light coverage is amazing.

I know dude....Im pissed

Well it was on the crash bar.....and just fell I guess. There is that plastic pan at the bottom of the engine bay, but I guess it missed that lol.

The OEM wire like split in 2, so I think I can re-attach it

gonna try after work.........

*edit: I did it!!! I put the wire back together and wrapped it in electrical tape....and it works. I put the ballast back on the crash bar, but I used better tape and zip ties from the top so it can't fall.

So......all 4 lights working perfectly, no error messages

Could you post pictures of your ballast placement?

My HID kit came today! It took me quite a while, but after a trip to the hardware store (well, two of them) to get a unibit do drill holes in the dust covers, I got them installed. I had to use the error eliminators, though; I installed without them, which worked until I turned on the car, then flickering and bulb out error. I went for a test drive, re-aimed my headlights a bit, and now everything is great. I had trouble figuring out where to place the ballasts. I need to be able to drive the car, so I used the adhesive (for now), but used the small zip ties that came with the kit so that, if the adhesive fails before I can fix their placement, they will keep the ballasts around. If the adhesive fails, the ballasts will be hanging from tubing.
