Power Seat Door Control Issue
Hey Now,
I have a 2002 C320 with 2 problems in the door control switch unit for the power seat. The knob for the memory feature has been pushed into the door panel (almost recessed now), and the seat control no longer moves the seat fore and aft. All other seat features including the easy exit work fine.
Can someone walk me through how to: remove the power seat control from the door panel and how to install a new one; test the control unit? (I have searched the forum and appreciate everyone who contributed to posting the pics on how to remove the panel). If this is a reasonable job for an amateur, I'll try it.
Thanks for your assistance in advance.

It could be worse. The module on my CLK got to the point where, no matter what you hit, the seat went forward. If you tried to move the seat back it went forward, and if you tried to recline the seat, it sat you bolt upright. My car was trying to crush me against the steering wheel, LOL. Sorry, I don't have any insight to fix it though. Good luck!

The saddest part about your story, Drew, is that your CLK didn't succeed. ..... Just kidding

It almost did, but thankfully the memory buttons still worked to move it back. The guy who bought the car never mentioned it to me in the conversations we had post purchase... then again, I haven't heard from him in a while.
