2004 C230 Kompressor Sedan
Tire sizes??
I have a 2004, C230 Sedan, Kompressor sport. The tire websites I have visited show tire size (225/45R17 Front) and (245/40R17 Rear) as the original tires. Is this correct and if so how do you rotate the tires?

Welcome ! Those are correct tire sizes for the staggered sport set-up where the rear wheels are wider than the front. I believe 7.5" wide front 8.5" in rear. The bummer with staggered wheel set-ups is that you can not rotate them. Cheers, Greg

In the middle of 2004, MB changed from 4 x 225/45-17 to the staggered setup.
If you've got an early 2004, you'll have the same setup as the '03s (all the same size).
If your tires/wheels are all the same size, then you can rotate front-to-rear. If the tires aren't unidirectional, then you can also rotate side-to-side.
If you've got the staggered setup, then you can rotate from side-to-side if the tires aren't unidirectional. If you do have unidirectional tires and you really want to rotate (as when you have severe wear on the inside corner), then you can have the tires dismounted and turned around - then you can swap the tires left/right and they'll still have the correct rotational direction.
If you've got an early 2004, you'll have the same setup as the '03s (all the same size).
